Hero Lodge is proudly owned and operated by veterans of the Canadian Armed forces and offers a one-of-a-kind experience. Zodiac boat fishing on Great Slave Lake in the Northwest Territories, which is the 9th largest lake in the world and the deepest in North America. You will return home with unforgettable catches and memories.
Imagine yourselves leaving Yellowknife in a floatplane, heading for Narrow Island in the East Arm of Great Slave Lake. You will sleep under the midnight sun inside a prospector tent on one of the most beautiful rocky islands of the body of water. During your stay, you will discover fish-filled places with Nordic sceneries. Fishing will offer you the chance to catch huge fish, in clear and deep waters and will provide you with fights worthy of the 60th parallel. In the summer, fishing time is maximized by 18 to 20 hours of sunshine a day, which will increase your chance of catching the fish you’ve been dreaming of.
In addition, since the fall of 2022, we have been offering duck hunting, fishing and the chance to observe the breathtaking Northern lights packages.
